The Silver Ribbon and Coral Necklace combines a delicate, textured silver ribbon with a chain of recycled Victorian coral.
The silver element is inspired by the movement of textile, with a softly curved form and hand-textured surface that gives it an extra sense of depth. It is light and fluid rather than heavy, allowing the ribbon-like form to move naturally when worn.
For the chain, I have reused coral beads from old Victorian broken necklaces, giving the piece a distinctive combination of contemporary silver and historic material.
There is also a playful versatility to the design: the coral chain is approximately 60 cm long and can be worn as a necklace or wrapped to create a bracelet.
