The Gold Sea Shell Necklace brings together the warmth of gold, the organic form of a real sea shell and the rich colour of old Victorian coral.
The shell was moulded from a real shell, cast in bronze and gold plated. Two small silver bubbles are attached to the shell, inspired by the bubbles, sea and sand surrounding shells when they are found on the beach.
For the chain, I have reused coral beads from old Victorian broken necklaces. The combination of the gold-plated shell and the historic coral gives this one-off necklace a distinctive character, bringing together natural forms, colour and reclaimed materials.
